Yoga Sequences

It is my absolute pleasure to be offering Yoga for those that want to add to this type of practice into their lives.

I provide proper equipment and provide a professional, fun, creative and effective Yoga Class.

Vinyasa Yoga

  1. Running Down A Dream. (1hr. 7m Savasana level 1-2) Focus: a sequence made specifically for runners on an off day. This a great balance between strength (get ready to plank), stretch and a little recovery. My favorite part about this sequence is it teaches us how to move our bodies differently and reward it for all the miles it carries us through. This sequence is named after a Tom Petty song. Expect to hear this song along with some other songs that you may know and recognize. 10% of the money earned from this class, both in a class or in a private session will be donated to organizations helping to stop the violence against women runners/athletes or organizations that support women athletes.

  2. Inside Job. (1hr. 7-10m Savasana level 1-2) Focus: a sequenced designed around the idea that our health, wealth, happiness come from within, its an inside job. We build heat and let go of tension that gets stored in the body. We ground ourselves, we build strength and open our heart so we can feel our best selves while out in the world. My favorite part about this class is that its set to all PEARL JAM music. This class is the reason I became a yoga teacher. Yoga and Music have been the two most powerful forces that have shaped and changed me and my life. When we combine them powerful things can happen. I took the combination of my most favorite band and built a playlist and sequence around one of their songs, Inside Job. Inside Job is not necessarily my favorite Pearl Jam song, even though its up there, I do believe that it is the most important in their entire catalog. Its about how we choose how we show up for ourselves and others. How do we want to live our lives? We seek to find those answers in this class. Expect to hear all Pearl Jam music.   3. Balance. Power. Peace. (1hr. 7-10m Savasana level 1-2) Focus: This practice is all about balance. We all need more balance, it is a practice that is done on and off the mat. I try to practice balance in my own life and the more I practice it on the mat, the more I know how to use it in my life both physically and emotionally. When we have a balance between a strong body and a calm mind we have peace. My favorite part of this practice is coming back to it time and time again and seeing my progress. I like how it can leave you feeling strong and light at the same time. The playlist is a nice collection of yoga specific music. There are some words but these songs are not found in the mainstream music world.

  4. Sophia’s Sequence (1hr 5-7min Savasana level 1-2) Focus: This practice is in honor of my puppy Sophia. I have learned so much from this little being and I wanted to share some of these ideas with you. In this class we try to see the world with fresh eyes, ears and instinct as if we had only been on Earth for 7 weeks. We have done many down dogs in our life but how can we see down dog knew again? How can we see ourselves and the world around us as if it were new again? Like any puppy we also make time for play and rest.

Yin Yoga

  1. No Limits. (50m-1hr. Yin Style Class. All levels) Focus: This class is based on the idea that the only limits we have are the ones we put on ourselves. My favorite part of this class is that its Yin, the practice of stillness and slowing down, what is not to love?! The playlist is a collection of a couple songs you may know but mostly its a mix of nice, soft music to help ease you through the practice.

  2. Bee The Change. (1hr. Yin/Hatha mix) Focus: This class is made for anyone going through a change. Whether the change is something you wanted or not there are always big emotions and work that need to be done to face any change with grace, strength and control. In this sequence we build a little strength and heat but there is also time for reflection and rest. The playlist has music with words, some songs you may recognize and a few instrumental songs in there as well. $1 from each sign up will go straight into the bee-change jar I have in the office to raise money for honeybee health.

Workshops

  1. The Four Agreements Workshop. ( 4 week series based on the book The Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz) In this workshop, yoga meets book club. These classes are built around this book and its agreements. Each week we read and discuss an agreement and follow it up with a one hour yoga sequence to put these ideas into practice. The yoga class is 1hr. but plan on being here for 2hrs. so we have time for discussion and snacks/tea.

  2. Inside Job-Pearl Jam Yoga Workshop. This song and sequence are about; we choose how we show up for ourselves and others. We create our emotional responses, we can create health, wealth and happiness, it is possible! How do we want to live our lives? We seek to find those answers in this class and put them into action on the mat so we can find that place inside of us when we need it off the mat. The class is one hour but plan on being here for 2hrs because this workshop includes time to make a vision board and have snacks/tea
